This session will provide an overview of the challenges and strategies for enabling governance across cloud infrastructure from AWS, Azure, Google, and VMware.

We will introduce VMware Secure State, a new VMware service that enables a proactive approach for governance that bridges the divide between Security and DevOps workflows. Secure State indexes your cloud assets, builds a relational model of your cloud infrastructure, and offers real-time and continuous checking for configuration risk and compliance.

We’ll explain and demonstrate how to:

• Receive real-time notifications for changes across teams, accounts and cloud providers

David Mattes is a successful entrepreneur with vision, creativity, and deep technical expertise in cloud, cybersecurity, orchestration, networking, and control systems.
David is currently the director of engineering for the Secure State team at VMware, building on his pre-acquisition role as Seattle-based startup CloudCoreo’s VP of Engineering. Prior to CloudCoreo he founded Tempered Networks, a Seattle-based company pioneering Identity Defined Networking. Before Tempered, he spent 10 years in research and development at The Boeing Company.
