The Digital Unconference Sofia 1.0

Days before the start of the 2018 Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, Digital National Alliance (DNA) organizes the UnConference Sofia 1.0.

The event will gather together leading policymakers, disruptive technology companies and stakeholders in the digital ecosystem to brainstorm how Europe can build a digital society that fits the future. The expected outcome of the unconference sessions is to transform the collective knowledge into brief extracts from all the panels which will be shared with the EU Commission.

At traditional conferences, the most productive moments often occur in the corridor between meetings. The idea of unconferences, attendees like to say, is to turn halls into corridors. The UnConference, known also as open spaces, is the most productive structure for exchanging ideas. The format brings people together to learn, share, and take participatory action, minimizing the passivity of low engagement.

The Digital UnConference Sofia 1.0 will be under the patronage of the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mrs. Mariya Gabriel, and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Emil Karanikolov.
Attendancies will have the opportunity to meet personally with leaders from various world-leading companies such as Cisco,Telelink,MasterCard, Microsoft, VMware, Google, SAP, Dell EMC, Accenture, etc.
