BPIAS Summer School in EconomicsЗа събитието
The Balkanski-Panitza Institute for Advanced Study (BPIAS) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of innovation and excellence in sciences, technology, humanities and social studies. One of the goals of BPIAS is to organize a regular annual series of Summer Schools on highly specialized topics.
In August 2017, the Institute will organize its second Summer School in Economics titled „Innovation, New Trade, and New Growth“ under the guidance and with the esteemed participation of Philippe Aghion, Harvard University. Philippe Aghion is the Robert C. Waggoner Professor of Economics at Harvard University, and a fellow of the Econometric Society and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The school will be hosted by the Minu Balkanski Foundation at its world-class educational facilities in the village of Oriahovitza, which is situated in the picturesque countryside of central Bulgaria.
The summer school aims to attract talented graduate students, and young post-docs, who will be selected by the organizing committee based on a standard set of application materials such as CV, motivation letter, and a research statement.
